a multi-generational
farming family.
The Zena Farm was born in Cupramontana, 505 meters above sea level, soft hills make up a varied landscape with diversified agriculture, framed by mountains.
We cultivate vines, olive trees, cereals, and legumes, following the principles of integrated agriculture and recently we are approaching experiments in the field of regenerative agriculture.
We have been stewards of our land for decades, providing us with extensive experience deeply rooted in tradition yet responsive to the transformations that we observe from year to year, which question our work every season.
Zena, the 2016 harvest, is the first vintage bottled of our Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico, our first label is not a beginning but rather the completion of a production cycle that allows us to oversee the entire supply chain of our wines.
The knowledge of the land and the symbiotic relationship that we have managed to create with it allows us to best enhance its fruits.
The unique microclimate makes Cupramontana one of the most suitable areas in the Marche region for cultivating vines, earning it the title ‘Verdicchio Capital’ due to its extensive history with this exceptional white grape variety, known for imparting rare longevity and elegance to wines.
Our continuous fieldwork enables us to select the finest grapes. Various plots with different exposures yield diverse wines, influenced by carefully monitored agronomic choices. Our meticulous presence along the rows allows for minimal intervention both in the vineyard and cellar.
In 2021, Zena introduces its second innovation, the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore, a wine we define as deeply territorial. It encapsulates the minerality from ancient clayey marl soils and the freshness of the high Marche hills.
